I have a node that is discovered correctly by HPOV. I also have an application that resides on that node that I want to monitor. The software application on the node sends traps if its critical components are "in jeopardy". These critical components are not services or devices. Even though the machine is physically up and running and responds to polling, if these "in jeopardy" events occur, the node's functional capability is down and the node should be reported as down and the icon needs to turn red.
I can do all of the above. However, when the node goes away (say a catastrophic failure) and then returns online, all of the maps that I created are gone. I don't want to have to recreate them.
My question is how can I make them stay?
Thanks!
