Hello All,
I am having trouble bringing up a ISDN PRI route up.
I've configured all the neccessary data, but when I dial the access code along with the telephone number I get a busy tone. I am thinking I need to reset my system for the new changes to take effect.
I've performed MEM_HDD, but now I don't know what my Program switch or my System Data key should be set for, in order to get the system up and running again after the reset.
The CPU sense wheel is set to '2'
Thanks

If this really is a 2400 you do not need a reset! Either your programming and switch settings on the card are wrong or you have a problem with telco.

THanks for the response 3racefan3.

Telco side is fine. I've attached and ISDN sniffer to monitor my layer 2 DCH link is up but, when I place a call from the PBX side the PBX doesn't even send a layer 3 SET-UP message. I've added my access code 8 to ANPD.
ASPA points to route 31 (dummy route). AMND has DC set to 8 and MND is set to 7 (only for local calls), AFRS is route 31 NPC 8 and OPR is set to 7, under AOPR my BCH route is 7 and OPR is 7. I skip one digit to strip the access code.
I've gone through the set-up installation guide from the ISDN class I took and nothing is missing.
So my hope was that the switch is stuck in some wierd mode and needs a reset.

I have second PRI trunk going out to a second office (using only a four digit dial plan) and all settings are the same between the two routes. But one works and the other doesn't

Unless there is something very strange about your installation a SINZ shouldn't cause any problems with the system coming back up. It is effectively like a recovery after an extended power outage. The system is designed to recover of its own accord.

Did you set up call by call? This is most likely the problem if you are sure everything else is set correctly. There are different settings for NI-2, AT&T, etc.

I don't think I've Set-up call-by-call, since this is the first time I hrear about it :)
Can you elaborate on what needs to be set?

Thank you

First - what do you have for CDN 65 for both B and D channel routes and make sure it matches with the sense wheel on the PRT card. Then you can look into Call by Call.

I have NI-2 set, so both B and DCH CDN 65 is 1, and sense wheel is 1.

COMMAND IS ACBC

OPR : 7
RA : 0 (ZERO FOR 1ST ROUTE IN OPR ETC)

WRITE AND GIVE IT A TRY.
