How do I paste information in an existing table?

I have been entering new data to my existing Access Table by copying/pasting the information from another application.
It works great when the indexed field numbers are the same in both places. I get only the records that changed updated.

However, if I delete an existing field from the other application. When I try to paste to Access it does not let me, because there is not a direct relationship between the fields.

Is there a way to paste in to access a bunch of fields, and have it figure out that it needs to update only the ones that changed?

thanks,
unifab
