How do I pass the GM Accountno to another application

We are using GoldMine 6 SQL 2000 and are creating a taskbar icon to launch an external report that links with another database - want to pass the GM Accountno to this application via the taskbar icon.

What would the paramater or command be?

Keep in mind, however, the GoldMine accountno field can have all sorts of odd characters in it...
