I HAVE INSTALLED WIN98 ON MY C: BUT I WANT IT ON MY D: WHICH IS LARGER. WHEN I TRY TO FORMAT THE D DRIVE IT SAYS FORMAT DOES NOT SUPPORT DRIVE. WHERE DO I START? I WANT TO JUST REFORMAT C: AND PUT WIN98 ON D:

What's on your D: drive currently? Unless it already has a fat32 partition on it, you'll need to use fdisk to create a partition (you can do this from a dos box in windows - you'll have to enable large disk support and change to second disk). Once created, you will have to reboot & can then format partition - if you're putting win98 on it, use format d: /s to copy system files.

Then you'll need to copy your existing C: drive to the D: drive (apart from windows swapfile). If you've got show hidden and system files enables you should be able to do this from explorer (ok any prompts to overwrite the system files you set up with the format command).

When all copied shutdown & swap drives (so large one is primary master) - startup & it should boot as previously, but from large drive. If you're happy, you can now format the smaller drive, if you want the space available (this will now be the D: drive).
