Hi, I am trying to design a t shirt for my sport.
what i'd like to acheive is to take and action pic, use magic wand with plus and select the border of the image, once done this, save it and overlay an image of a union jack that fits only on the silhouete.

clone stamp doesnt do it really, a pattern would be good but cant find flags as patterns.

I'd appreciate any help,

thanks.

Hi,

What exactly are you trying to acheive here?

Do you want the union jack flag to only appear in what looks like someones head? Kind of like how you see those images where Canada and the US has its flag within the physical boundaries of the country and any excess is cut off?

Is that the effect you are looking for?

Yes something like that.

I'd like the image of a man jumping high and sprawled out all over the place, to have the union jack design all over only the sprawling man. If it were possible to keep the differentiation of his limbs that'd be great but for now only the image like a silhouete of the man but instead of being black - be flag coloured. like you describe.

Thanks.

Hi,

Simply go into quick mask mode and make a selection around the person and delete anything in the background if you wish. Goto SELECT > SAVE SELECTION. Next place the Union Jack over top of the imageand then goto SELECT > LOAD SELECTION and choose the name that you saved the other one as. (You can also goto the Channels Palette and hold Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac) and click on the thumbnail next to the last channel to load the selection. Then go back to the Union Jeck layer and press Ctrl+Shift+I to invert the selection and hit delete. Then play around with the opacity and/or blending modes so that the Union Jack is overlayed on the person and so that you can still see the detail.

Hope this helps!
