How do I open .pef files (Pentax raw) in Photoshop 7?

I just purchased a new pentax istd digital camera and have the option to shoot raw, tiff, or jpeg format. The raw is reccomended by most professionals but I can't get Photoshop 7 to open it. Works fine with the jpegs.
