Hi,

I'm trying to navigate to the folder where Outlook Express stores messages, but I can't seem to get past the User folder.

I'm new to Win XP. In Win98 I could just navigate to c:\, etc. but WinXP seems to limit what you can do (or see). Do I need to change a setting so that I can browse to this folder?

Thanks for any suggestions...

Go to
Tools - Options - Maintenance - Store Folder
to see your location of the messages.

You'll have to enable 'Show hidden files and folders' (in an explorer window - Tools > Folder Options > View).

Once you have this checked you'll be able to browse through to your mailbox folder - found in Documents and Settings\(username)\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\(Code)\Microsoft\Outlook Express

You can also view/change the location of this folder from withing Outlook Express - Tools > Options > Maintenance > Store Folder
