Sorry about the newbieness.

We have presentaton server 4.0 installed and it has been our only Citrix server to this date. We have recently installed 4.5 and want to decommision the old server. We cannot just create a second farm due to the fact that most of our users are remote (unless I am thinking about this incorrectly).

I need to be able to move all of the existing farm settings and database to the new server.

Here are the issues I am facing:

1. i do not know the process to move all of this data and settings from one server to another.

2. I do not know if there will be issues without having 4.0 installed any longer since that was the platform of the orginal install and now we are moving to 4.5 on the new server.

Any help/insight would be very appreciated. thank you in advance.

you're typically better off not mixing Citrix versions in the same farm. However, if you want to join these two together, you can run the chfarm (change farm) command....

How are your remote users connecting, Citrix Secure Gateway, Access Gateway, a standard VPN? You will probably need to do some configuration on your Citrix Web Interface server if you are using one.
