Can I symlink to a directory on a different disk and will networker follow the link? Are there any other methods to free up space?

Thanks All

Yes you can symlink.

Also, in: LEGATO TECHNICAL BULLETIN 308: Moving Indexes on NetWorker Servers (NT)
you can shutdown NetWorker, move the index, restart, then:

- use nwadmin to edit the client resource
- change the Index Path field to the new index directory where you moved the idexes to.

(If this is the first time you have moved this client's index, the Index Path field will be blank. A blank in this field indicates that the index is in the default location, the nsr\index directory.)

If you are running NetWorker 6 or higher, you can use copy to move the index directory. But for NetWorker 5, you wil need to use the uasm command as mention in the tech bulletin.
