how do i mount MY floppy disk from AIX connection??

i am connecting to an AIX system through a terminal, and want to mount a floppy drive on MY machine... <br>

the only method i can find is via mount on my IP address, and dont know how to implement it... <br>

please help... would make life a great deal easier!<br>

You would normally make remote disks (filesystems) available by using NFS and I guess this is what you mean when you talk about the IP address, as NFS runs over IP.<br>
<br>
With NFS a remote machine makes available (shares) a filesystem and allows certain machines, or perhaps all, to mount that filesystem.<br>
<br>
You can get a product from Sun called PCNFS that <b>does</b> allow you to mount unix filesystems as disks on your PC but I'm not aware that it works the other way around.<br>
