I feel like I'm overlooking something obvious, but is there a way to measure CPU temperature without using thermometers and the like?

I have an ASUS motherboard that is supposed to shut down when the CPU temperature gets too high - which makes me think it can probably tell me (roughly) the temperature that it's running at.

I'm getting random resets (only about 1 per day, but annoying nonetheless), so I'm hoping to find out whether the CPU has anything to do with this.

Thanks!

The motherboard might have come with some software to monitor it thru onboard Winbond detectors...if not there's Speedfan or Mother Board Monitor...just 2 of them...speedfan is at almico.com.
The settings for shutdown/alarm should be in the BIOS.

Hardware monitoring software usually supplied with the motherboard (on the drivers disk) this needs to be installed in order for you to see your temp readings.
