How do I MANUALLY remove Office 2K?

I've got a problem. I've got a user that every time they start up any Office 2K app, they get hit with the Installer program looking for the CD. (if I cancel out, the program fires up ok) Well, I repoint it to the folder on the system where it got installed from, and it says that it's not valid. OK... So I throw in a CD, and point it to it, and get the same message. And when I go to uninstall it, I can't, because it can't find the right install files. So, I basically want to rip the program out of the system, registry settings and all, and do a fresh install. Can anybody point me to a technet paper or walk me through the procedure?

I had same problem and just reinstalled on top of it. Seemed to work for me.
