Hi, i have question, how to make this? I saw it in class, it's not so hard but i've forget the way i made it. Someone can help me? ( Only carré used )

This looks like an assignment, if so, what are the requirements of the assignment?

...chop the solid black shape up with the pathfinder options using other shapes to slice where you need it cut...the black square can be created using a stroke and then expanded to a vector shape, the chopped onto parts using the pathfinder palette...
