I have a simple web page that dynamically builds queries. I want to format the output so that it can be grouped and totals can be added at the bottom of each group. Is there some technique or free tool I can use to do this?

Check into the t-sql clause, 'WITH ROLLUP'

If you are using SQL Server, that is... otherwise, Oracle may have something similar, but Access is crippled in this area, and you'll most likely be stuck manually inserting rows and such....

Thanks,

I am using Access

The page that I have works great as far as building the queries is concerned. That seemed to me to be the easier part. I am currently using response.write to output my data and that works fine (If all you want is the data). My problem is that I want to take the data returned from the query and generically manipulate it in code so that I can output the data in a report format.

I also want to perform drill downs of the data through links on the actual columns of returned data. These links will call more detailed queries about what was clicked on.
