how do i make my font look fatter?

the font i'm using is "Papyrus" but i think it looks too thin and skinny.. is there any way i can make it fatter? thanks!

...add a new stroke...

...or add a new additional fill in the appearance palette, if using the fill method you also need to use effect > path > offset path and type in a value...

...all of the above maintains text as editable text...

I usually add some outline, but be sure to set the outline corners to rounded, or you may wind up with little spikes sticking out of your text.

I do this quite often with my drafting, especially with drafting fonts.

STROKE the font you think it too thin.

It also might help to kern the spacing between the letters.

Perhaps stretching the letter/word width and height.

Using all three of these suggestions should get your font looking the way you want.

for example, give the font a 3pt stroke, increase the spacing between the letters, then shrink the width of the word.

or give the font a 5pt stroke, shrink the spacing between the letters, and stretch the word out longer.
