I would like to enable the compiled reports, so that users are only able to "view" the report onscreen, they should not be able to print the report.

Saludos.

A wild guess here - not tested.
The printer info is stored in the file reportname.CRF. If you create a report, but specifically assign NO printer to it, and change the file status of reportname.CRF to read only (so that the user cannot change it to a default printer at runtime), this may work.

You also might have to create a custom wrapper to do this, in your favorite programming language.

Note:
"Compiled Reports and the Report Distribution Expert are expected to be phased out in the next release of Crystal Reports."

November is "be kind to dogs and programmers" month. Or is that "dogs or programmers"?
