How do I make a Web image with imbedded links?

Hi guys
I wanted to make a banner or image for my web site with diferent links on it. Is it something to do with mapping an image? I have no idea.
It is for a banner on the bottom of me webpage with about 20 links on it.

...i believe this is done using the slice tool, drag an area, right click slice, edit the URL field (include

http://),

the file > save to web. adjust image settings as required, then save with html and images...
