I installed MySQL 4.0.18 on a Windows XP machine. I am trying to log into it now so I can create tables but I dont know what values to use for the username and password since it didnt ask me for them when I did the install.
I did create the my.ini files but that the database is not accepting those vales.

I am using MySQL Front to log in.

When you first start mysql, you need to set the root password, read the enclosed readme file as it is all well documented.

If you dont want to, the default user is root and no password.
