Hello,

How can I lock 7316 while I leave from office and come back in the morning and unlock it.

Thanks.

what exactly are you trying to do? block long distance, block useage of the phone?

You need to do this with restriction filters and restriction schedules. If you come and go at random times of the day, it would be best to restrict your phone completely and use a class of service override code whenever you call out.

I am trying to block international calls. I am looking for something like I can key in a code while I leave the office and then come back in the morning and unlock it using same code.

Thanks.

Hello silver987,

I am a newbee to this, could you please provide some details about how to set restrications.

Thanks.

As you can see Shri,(?)

We have to assume that you're already a Norstar technician as this forum was created specifically for career professionals to assist each other. We also try to help the more advanced technical users when it's practical but we obviously can't take the time to teach the world at large how to become Norstar technicians for free in this limited format.

Setting up restriction filters and schedules is something most certified system administrators (and even some certified Norstar techs) would have a hard time with and it's all too easy to get yourself in trouble in this particular area if you're not really sure about what you're doing.

<...can I get a witness...YEAHHHH...can I get a witness...>

I think the best advice anyone could give you (or anyone else on these deeper issues) would be to call your local, friendly, authorized Norstar vendor (usually the same good folks who originally installed, serviced and maintained your Norstar system for you for all those years before your company thought they could do without their professional assistance) and ask them to send a friendly, certified, experienced Norstar technician over to discuss your needs, options and solutions. There's so much to be said for having it done right the first time without having to pay extra for the mistakes made by the unqualified for the benefit of the ungrateful.

Thanks a lot Phonehed.

Yes, my company does have a preferred vendor and they will certainly contact that vendor for this job. However I thought it would be a good idea if I can get some basic knowledge myself from GURUs online.
