How do I list directories by size ?

Good Afternoon all,
I have a large number ( about 500 ) of user directories on a server. I can't limit the space used by any one person and have noticed that the space used sometimes increases / decreases by up to 3 Gb. Does anyone know of some software that would list all directories and report their sizes / show growth graphs etc ? To right click / click on properties for each one would take all day........Any ideas ?

There are several different quota management software packages that allows you to not only limit the space but generate reports on usage.
