I have a laptop with dos 6.2 but want to install win98 on it.
The laptop doesn't work and I can't get the laptop to read the cd rom using a direct connection with interlnk.

Has anyone done this before?

Stu

Where is the cd? another system? You could transfer neccessary files to the other system then interlink them. or use another tranfer program. or network them.
I do it regularly with 95.

take the hard drive from laptop buy a 2.5" to 3.5" converter install in desktop as slave copy win98 folder to hard drive also copy sys files across then reinstall boot the machine will boot to dos then cd to win98 type setup and thats it.
