I have 3 servers running W2K server. Backup Exec v8.6 is installed on one of them and the 'Remote Agent for Windows NT/2000' on the others to allow me to back up their files over the network. I have recently purchased the Intelligent Disaster Recovery option for Backup Exec and 2 IDR client licences for the other servers. All this is installed on the Backup Exec server and in the instructions I am told I need to install the IDR client option on all the remote servers. But I can't find any comprehensive instructions on how to do this. If you follow the Veritas instructions and go to Control panel, add/Remove programs, Veritas backup exec, and click on 'Install Backup Exec options on remote computers', ensure the DR option and the additional remote licenses are installed, the only option it will allow me to install on remote servers is 'Remote Agent for Windows NT/2000' which is already installed!
Does anyone know how to do this?
