Hi

I am using NAV2005 on my W2K Pro pc. My initial 12 month NAV licence has expired and I have purchased several new licences/CD's. However no matter what I do the NAV reverts back to the original expired licence date even after inputting the new code and registering the new licence install on the Symantec server?

The procedure I am following is;

Uninstall NAV2005. Reboot.
Remove all Symantec folder(s) and NAV folders remaining on drive.
Using regedit - remove any reference to Symantec, liveupdate or norton. Reboot.

(This is the pocess I had to go through to make the install ask for the licence key).

The NAV installs, appears ok (12 month licence etc), carries out it's first liveupdate then it reverts back to the original expired licence date.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Rob

I'VE OVERCOME THE PROBLEM.

I uninstalled, then deleted each symantec folder in the 'common apps data' section for each & all users.

I also removed each reference to Symantec in the registry.

Then it worked!
