How do I import JPEGs from a folder, NOT a cast, for movie?

I'm developing a Shockwave (with embedded Flash) movie for my portfolio site. I'm fairly proficient with Lingo (a bit rusty, though--I've been focusing on 3D animation for awhile.), but I'm unsure as to how to have JPEGs in a local folder load into the movie without having them in the cast. It's possible to load in external text files in this way, but I've never tried with image files before. I plan on having a scrolling selector with picture thumbnails, but I want to easily import the JPEGs from a drop-in folder and have Lingo place them into position without having to recompile the Shockwave or create new external casts all the time. Any suggestions?

I cant very well right this entire script out for you and it's hard to exsplain but you would handle it just like text. You can even have it display thumbnails of them and once highlited place the pic into a certain area on stage.I dont know exactly how you want this layed out but it would only take a couple of scripts to work it all out. I do however sugget you make all the image files with the same exstention and use the get path() method and getnetthing.<br><br>Hope this helped,<br>Todd
