Microsoft's soon to be infamous SP2 sync bug has hit us. While syncing up domain controllers the boxes crashed with an lsass.exe error. For those interested you can find more info about this at:

Both boxes are gone and I've had to rebuild, fortunately before this occurred I had run LDIFDE and backed up the AD with the command ldifde -f users.ldf (I also ran CSVDE in the same manner)

But when I try to import this information from either file I get the following error messsage:

Add error on line 1: Unwilling to Perform
The server side error is "Access to the addtribute in not permitted because the attribute is owned by the Security Accounts Manager (SAM)."
0 entries modified successfully.

How do I fix this ? Does anyone know the layout of the files ? Where can I get more information ?

Thanks,

This doesn't do much for me because I don't have anything to export from now.

I have the original export which contains ALL of the data and I need to know how to import that or which fields to remove so that the SAM doesn't object to the import.

Thanks
