Subject is the question.

Please, save me from creating a heap of tables manually. There must be a way, no matter how much of a kludge.

Go to
Create a new module in your database, and paste the code from the site into it.

When you execute the module, it will do a basic dump of all table structure and contents, which can be saved as SQL commands, and run as an external script in MySQL. You will probably get a few errors and have to fix certain specific datatype problems here or there as you try to run the script, but overall, it works quite well.

Thanks for that...

As it happens, I am using that script but it is creating a compile error under Access 2000.

I have emailed tham and awaiting a reply.

FYI, error is:

Under "Sub exportSQL()"

I think it is the line "Dim cdb As Database" which generates an error "compile error: user-defined type not defined".

This is a bit beyond knowledge of such things.

Again have solved my own problem.

The solution is a program from which after a few minutes of fiddling to work it out (not too hard if you have ANY idea at all) did the job flawlessly.

Migrates structure AND data.
