I was wondering if anyone out there has been successful in implementing menu security on Forms. I have tried and failed to get this feature to work for me. I have carried out the following steps to get it to work:
On the database:
CREATE ROLE trainers ;
GRANT CONNECT, RESOURCE TO trainers ;
GRANT TRAINERS to 'username' ;
On Forms Builder:
Set Menu Module properties 'Use Security' to 'Yes' and
'Module Roles' to 'Trainers', respectively.
Set Menu Item property 'Item Roles' to 'Trainers' for all items on the customized menu.
However when I run the form ( as the apprpriate user )I get the following alert:
FRM-10256: User is not allowed to run Form Builder Menu'
and the Form is displayed without a Menu bar.
I can pick up the customized menu fine if I reset 'Use Security' property back to 'No'.
Does anyone out there have any idea as to what I'm doing wrong or should I be using some other method. Any help would be much appreciated.
