Hi,
I've built a book which links around 25 different document which all have auto page numbering (ie doc 1 go from 5 to 10 the doc 2 goes from 10 to 20 etc).

My question is in each doc I need ignore the first page as it is a divider. Does anyone know hoe this can be acheived?

Many thanks
Mark

maybe this will help, I'm not totally sure what page numbering you are needing.....

The following table shows examples of how to specify ranges in InDesign. You must type the full section name ("Sec" in these examples). Note that in InDesign 2.0, no delimiters (such as colons) appear between the section number and the page number.

Range
Description

Sec27-Sec212
Specifies a range in section 2 between the page numbered 7 (not necessarily the seventh page in that section of the document) and the page numbered 12.

Sec17-

Specifies page 7 in section 1 to the last page of the section or the document, whichever is first. If the document has several sections, and you want to print to the end of the document, you need to add the section and page number of the last page of the document (see next example).

Sec17-Sec38
Specifies page 7 in section 1 to the document's last page, which is page 8 of section 3.

11-
Specifies page 11 of the document to the last page of the document.

-11
Specifies all pages in the document up to and including page 11.

Sec1
Specifies all pages in section 1.

Sec19-Sec48
Specifies page 9 in section 1 of the document to page 8 in section 4.

Sec19, Sec43-Sec46, Sec37
Specifies page 9 of section 1, pages 3-6 of section 4, and page 7 of section 3.

1, 3-8, 11
Specifies pages 1, 3-8, and 11.
