Hi,

Here's what I did:
1. Created a text box, and typed some text into it.
2. Made the box a hyperlink. This put a black border around the text box in Indesign.

When I export the ID document to PDF and view it onscreen, I see my solid box, however, when I print it out I don't see a solid box.

What is wrong? I want to see only a solid box when I'm viewing the file as a PDF as well as when I print it.

I also had a case where I had a black border around a text box and then around my link, but that created two black borders when viewing the link onscreen and I definitely don't want that.

Any advice you can give is appreciated.

Thanks,
mickeyj2

In the general section of the pdf export try checking Include : non printing objects and interactive objects.

You can also put a border or stroke on teh box and then double click the hyerling in the Ineractive window and pick "invisible rectangle" from the Type under Appearance. That should give you just one box rather than 2.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

Hi jmgalvin,

Thanks! That option worked great! I made the Hyperlink invisible and then placed a border around the textbox.

Thanks again,
