I have been reading many posts on the value of splitting my DBs. Once I do this do I give each user a copy of the front end or do all users access the same front end on the network drive?

If they do get there own copy what is the prefered way of distributing it?

Thank You for all your help

Give each user an FE, maintain the BE on the network.

"Business conventions are important because they demonstrate how many people a company can operate without."

How do I give each user a FE?

Since I am giving each user there own front End then they can be different correct?

You could provide different FEs if you wanted to maintain multiple FEs. Tony Toews has a utility for updating FEs at
I generally create a script file that simply copies a new FE to the user's PC or individual share every time they want to run the application.
