I tried to use the snapshot monitor (get snapshot for tablespaces on mydb1) but as show below it lists Total pages and number of used pages as zero. My server has an AIX 5.3 installed as the OS and DB2 8.2 fixpak 8.

Does anyone have a better way of collecting this info or determining spaced used other than using the df -k operating system command?

Tablespace name = TESTSMS2
Tablespace ID = 7
Tablespace Type = System managed space
Tablespace Content Type = Any data
Tablespace Page size (bytes) = 4096
Tablespace Extent size (pages) = 32
Automatic Prefetch size enabled = Yes
Buffer pool ID currently in use = 1
Buffer pool ID next startup = 1
File system caching = Yes
Tablespace State = 0x'00000000'
Detailed explanation:
Normal
Tablespace Prefetch size (pages) = 32
Total number of pages = 0
Number of usable pages = 0
Number of used pages = 0

Thanks,

Thanks for the information. However, the filesystem currently shows %Used = 64% while output from the list tablespaces showdetail shows the following:

Detailed explanation:
Normal
Total pages = 39617
Useable pages = 39617
Used pages = 39617
Free pages = Not applicable

Thanks

attick111,

Looked into this for you. As your using SMS, I think your stuck with querying the filesystem.

Cheers
Greg
