How do I get text boxes to repeat past page 1 of a crosstab? 1

I have a crosstab where I am labeling it with textboxes placed directly on top of the crosstab. The problem is that, if the crosstab is longer than one page, the textboxes are only displayed on the first page. Because of the positioning of the textboxes, I am unable to use a fake group header to get them to show up (they would show up, but not be lined up correctly). Is there any way to get the textboxes to appear on each page without using the fake group header approach?

thanks, jc

Hi jc

If you have a crosstab in a report header that goes across multiple vertical pages then getting a textbox in the same report header to repeat is not easy, at least I can't think of a way. There is an option to 'repeat on horizontal pages' but not one for vertical pages.

One Idea is to use the existing label 'Total' and put your text in there. That would repeat across the pages.

However you don't have complete freedom to place it where you want.

Consider adding a label into the crosstab as a row, by first creating a formula:

whilereadingrecords;
"Row Label"
//replace with desired text

Then add this as your row#1 in the crosstab. This will print to the left of your row#2 fields. I usually then go to format field->rotate text->90 degrees, and then narrow the width.
