My Client is in need of warranty work on his BCM 200, and I want to deal with Nortel support to get this system repaired.
Is this do-able?
It had a problem with the voice-mail while under a support contract with the original vendor, but it was never fixed due to a disagreement over the cost. It was diagnosed at that time as a software version problem (was 3.0 still) and the disagreement was who should pay for the labour to repair bugs in the original software, especially when you have a parts and labour warranty.
So they just rebooted the system when needed, and when the contract expired they did not renew it with the original installer of the system, and found another telcom company who provided a quote to upgrade the software version.
(This other company was not Nortel Partnered)
This did not solve the problem, and the client was then apprised of the Capacitor problem and recall.
They were directed to another Nortel Approved Partner who could do the warranty work but after replacing the boards the system did not respond.
The system was returned to it's original state (old boards and all) and returned to my client.
I need a Montreal Area, Nortel approved, telecom company who can:
1) Replace the faulty boards
2) Reinstall the OS which was probably corrupted during the upgrade process (remember the system still had the faulty capacitors)
3) Ensure all the feature codes purchased with the system
work.
Is this doable?
