You can then run a virus checker over it. If you have Windows 9x/Me/XP then you can use MSConfig, if not then get a copy of Mike Lin's startup control panel from http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml and then use that to remove any dodgy items. Remember to check the startup group (both local and global if NT/2K/XP), WIN.INI/SYSTEM.INI files as well as the registry. John Upvote 0 Downvote
