How do I get rid of the AOL Icon in the top right of IE5.5?

When I installed (foolishly) an AOL trial a while back, it gave me a stupid AOL icon in the top right of IE5.5. I am embarrassed every time I open IE. PLEASE HELP!

I did the same thing with Earthlink a year or so ago. If the FAQ desn't help you, you can try what I did. I just restored the previous version of IE and then reinstalled the latest version. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....."

Options:

1. I've heard this will restore it but nobody ever replies to say if it worked. (You may or may not have to restart after.) Close all browser windows then click start--run--type or copy and paste this line into the box and press enter:

rundll32 iedkcs32.dll,Clear

Option 1 above will remove the branding if it was done as part of an IE Admin Kit implementation.

Option 2 will remove the branding/reset the spinning logo.
