How do I get pop up windows to actually show whats in them?

Whenever a pop up window pops up, it shows that the actual window pops up, however it does not show anything in the actual screen. For example, if I got to a site and click on a link which opens up a new window, the window will appear, but the content will not! I have tried using Mozilla however this does not get this problem! The version of Internet Explorer that I have is 6...Thanks in advance ;)
