How do I get my monitor to know to use the DV input?

Hi all,
I have an NVidia Geforce 7300 card, with both analog and dv output. I just got a viewsonic VG2030wm, and it only works with the analog input. The nvidia 'control panel' has no setting that I can see to specify to push the signal out of the dv, and there seems to be nothing on the monitor to accept it. I plugged the dv cord in and all I get on the screen is "No signal--analog"

Never mind, I had to reboot I guess.

I found some controls on the side of the monitor for the OSD, but selecting digital input did nothing, I had to reboot and unplug the analog to get it to choose digital.
