Hello there,

Im having trouble with my DSL connection.Im running on windows XP pro. My problem is strange to me and im hoping someone here can help me out. Ive been having trouble getting an IP address on computer restart so i was using the repair function and it was solving my problem. The thing is that on computer restart when my taskbar programs were loading id see a icon that i was able to click on to open up the repair window but now on restarts its not there anymore.

I went into the windows help files and it said to open network connections folder, right click to open properties and click repair. Well for one i dont have anything in my network connections folder so i went into internet options and clicked on add. made a folder for network connections but there wasnt a way to get into its properties to repair an IP.

is there a way i can get the little icon back on reset so i can repair again? or can someone help me a difrent way? Ive read the other forum posts about IP repairing but they didnt help. I just need to be able to get to my repair button again =(

Thanks for taking the time to read this and i really hope i can get some help with this.
