How do I get Exchange Server to connect to my isp mailbox using a adsl router instead of using a dial up connection?

I am able to send mail out using the adsl connection but I am unable to recieve mail.

Please help me.

I hope I understand your question right.

I use Exchange in (hopefully) a similiar way.

I use COX cable internet (my ISP). I have an Exchange 5.5 server set up to send mail out, but don't have a registered domain name so no email coming in.

I have email through my ISP (@cox.net).

I have my default reply to: address as myemail@cox.net on the Exchange server.

I set my Outlook up in workgroup mode, but also installed the Internet Service in the Outlook client. I set my ISP POP3 settings and it downloads my email from my ISP and it rests on my Exchange server. When I reply my Exchange server sends the mail.

Hope this is close to what you want.

Erm not quite what I was looking for I need to now hoe to get exchanges to download the mail fom my ISP on its own then using outlook to get the emails off exchange.

I can do it if I use a idla-up account but that is too slow.

Yeah. There's no way I know of to do that from your ISP's mailbox through Exchange.

There IS a utility, however, that you can use in addition to Exchange to download your email and have it automatically move it to Exchange.

The one thing that I DID do to download my email was I installed Outlook on one of my other servers and have it download my email and into Exchange. The program above will do just that, but it's like $250 for a 5 person license. Too much.

Simple. If you use Exchange 5.5, download the POP3 Mail Connector from Microsoft. Not sure what the URL is, or send me an e-mail and I'll send it to you.

I'd love to know where I can get this connector for W2K and Exchange 5.5. The only one I can seem to find is Small Bus. server and Exch 5.5. Is there another? Please post the URL!

Thanks CasperNyman. These are great utilities. However, I can't use them because they won't work with any BCC:'s messages.

Thank you very much for your help, though...
