Our current website host cannot handle the amount of monthly email updates that our clients rely on for information. My question is: Is there a way to have a dedicated email service (still using our current MS Outlook pop3/smtp format) without having to move our domain to another host? Let me add that this does not involve spamming. And we cannot switch to another host because doing so would leave our website inaccessable for 24 hours.

Any help would greatly appreciated since I am a graphics designer and we have not one tech in this office.

Although commonly sold & packaged this way, there's really no requirement that your website host be the same as your e-mail host. The DNS records just need to reflect where the services are located.

Not many web host services advertise e-mail only hosting, but I would think that most could if you ask them directly. Be sure to explain your expected e-mail volume.

Thank you smah for your help. I will give this a try!

If you go this route, make sure your can change your DNS MX records, your existing host might not be overly helpful with this.
