I have an ACS Rev3.0 that I'm trying to get one specific line (the "personal" line) to ring through even when DND is activated. Right now all lines go to VM. I think that is because they are all in Hunt Group 7. What do I have to change to get that one line to bypass DND?

If you put a set on DND, it will never ring, whether it be a transfer from the Auto Attendant, a direct ring in on a private line, or an internal Intercom call.

If I read you right, this user has a personal telephone line coming in. If you assign that line to the extension, with Immediate Ring, assign the other lines with NO Ring, NOT assign it to the Auto Attendant in #206-7, have the extension cover it when unanswered in #208, AND not put the phone in DND, I think you will end up with what you are asking for.

Thanks TTT. If I assign the private line to Hunt Group 8 (fax/data association), won't that bypass the VMS and ring thru even if DND is active? I think that also means it never will go to VMS, but that is OK. Does that sound correct or am I going in the wrong direction?

Hunt Group 8 is reserved for Fax Machines and CNG detection only, I'm not aware that it will bypass DND settings on an extension (there is no DND button on a Fax Machine!)

I think you might need to put a single line RINGER in the same vicinity as this person's phone that is kept in DND, program it to ring on the private line, and when it rings, he knows to pick up his line.
