My question has been sitting on this forum for 14 days now with no attempts to answer it. How do I get a reply from this forum?

Most likely no one knows the answer to your question. That's usually why a poster doesn't get responses. I don't use Backup Exec's Report capability, so I can't (and haven't) replied to your post.

Also, for others the post refered to is:

Buddy, I read your post (and only by following SQLBill's included link). Geez, Buddy, you don't even put in a version of Backup Exec you are using. Probably no one responds to your post cause you have so little info.

Basically, reporting in Backup Exec 8.6 and prior uses a .dll file from Crystal Reports (who they used to own). So if you can configure reporting in Crystal Reports and then copy the .rpt file to BE, then you can generate custom reports. Otherwise, reporting is wysiwyg (what you see is what you get).

Can custom reports be created in Backup Exec?

How to create custom reports in Backup Exec:

Ok, Buddy, wanna know how I found the above technotes?

Use the last link to change to the product version you are using and search on key words.

Next time, be more specific in your posts.

Now say thank you!
