Hi!

I try to run consistency check but cant due to the system is non-redundant.

Does the placing of the stripes on the disk decide what raid-X the system have?

When try to run consistency check i got this information:
StripSz = 64KB
Drive state Optimal
Raid = 0
LD = 1
Size = 70135MB

"For Multiple Disks, consecutive Data Block Are Striped with no Redunancy"

I want the system to be RAID-1 and not RAID-0.
if the placing of the stripes decide what raid-x the system have, how do i place the stripes so i get RAID-1.
I use two disks and the model is: MAW3073NP, Ultra 320 SCSI/68-pin/LVD.
I have one MegaRaid 320-1 controller.

thanks for helping

did you look on extranice for documents surrounding this?

Yes i did, but i did not find how to change from RAID-0 to RAID-1 but i think i solved the raid-problem.

This is what i did.

I cleared the configuations and configured the disks once again, but instead of configure one disk at a time i configured both at the same time.

When i did that i could chose between RAID-0 and RAID1-1.

But the troubleshooting on extranice you gave me was verry helful anyway.
Now i try to do a reconstruct on the drive(s) and se what happen.

thanks!

By the way...when i try to do a consistency i got error, but i will try to recontstruct the disk as i wrote above and see what happens.

Thanks!
