I Just installed Red Hat Linux 6.1 the other day and set up Apache Web Server and WU-FTPd and AnonFTP on the system. I have no clue where to start when it comes to the FTP deamon. Does anyone know of a good deamon that is easy to use and isn't as confusing to use as WU-FTPd? I need to set up a FTP Deamon that allows for "imaginary" users (users that don't have a real user account on the server). I want to develop a way for my clients to access a section of the web server that they own and I need the users to be able to access any location on the server that I specify. I tried to figure out how to get WU-FTPd set up but I couldn't find anything on creating users or passwords or telling what paths the users have access to. I used WAR-FTPd for windows previously, and it was much easier to specify what the users have access to. This is just too stone age to understand, if you ask me. Can someone help me set this up or tell me a good, user friendly FTP Deamon to use?
Thank you,
Steve Kiehl, Webmaster, Nanovox.com
