I need to connect an SGI O2 with IRIX 6.3 with a modem Cisco via ethernet. I can´t find any pppoed for IRIX.(I saw a Linux-based PC working beautifully with ADSL... why my Silicon couldn't?)
I need this modem connected to a second ethernet adapter which I plan to put in the spare PCI slot, the other question is: will any PCI-based ethernet board work?

I have a Indy IRIX 5.3 connected to a modem ADSL in primery ethernet interface and unsuccesfull using pppoe of the Linux Site. Is possible the existance of any parameter to configure in the Operating System to realize the connection and the traffic with this modem successfully. I was certainly that not have differences for this configuration in the 2 IRIX'es O.S.
Thanks for any answer or indicate any tech person to solve this.
