How do i generate keys? (keygen) 1

How do i generate a public key and a private key so that I can log on from one server to another just by typing one word? Where do i put the keys? How do i assign the alias that I type in?

What do you mean by "one word"?? And "alias"??

Run ssh-keygen. The public key will be in .ssh/id_dsa.pub (default). Append that file to .ssh/authorized_keys on the server you want to login to.

That's it.
