I update an textbox with a new value and then poll a TCP connection. The updated text doesn't show until after the polling is complete. Is there anyway to force the updated text to be shown right away... a type of refresh or something?

Thanks for the help,
Chris

Try the DoEvents command. It should give VB enough time to refresh your screen.

Text1.Text = "New Value"
Text1.Refresh
