how do i find the values of MIB from tcp stack in linux

i am trying to implement snmp....
in that i got stuck at a point where i need to find the MIB values...i.e the no of TCP packets sent/lost/recived and such kind of vlues...
i read in some book to get those from tcp tables i tried but couldn't find one can u help me please....
