Our database, administered by Windows 2000 Server, is automatically backed up to tape each night, but I need to keep track of exactly which files were backed up and the size of each file. Is there a log automatically created for each backup, and if so how can I access it? I've heard that a backup tape can be catalogued & said catalog printed out if necessary. If this is the way to accomplish the needed task, could you please forward instructions for doing so?

Thank you very much.

hiya,
If you are using the backup utility then go to Tools and Options, then Backup Log. From there you can choose the type of Log file created with the backup. You can view them by Clicking On Report in the tools menu.

hope this helps.
